On a Tightrope

On a Tightrope is a string quartet in three movements. It’s an energetic work with many mood contrasts.

Instrumentation:
– Version for string quartet
– Version for organ solo (3rd movement only)

Duration: 16 minutes

Dedicated to a great friend, a remarkable pedagogue, and an inspiring composer, Alan Belkin.

Premiere: May 17th, 2006, by Marie-Ève Lamy (violin I), Véronique Perrault (violin II), Alexis Carter (viola) et Marie-Claire Lavigueur (cello), at the Serge Garant Hall, in Montréal.
