The Wool-Spinning Devil
The Wool-Spinning Devil is a traditional Quebecois tale adapted by Eveline Ménard, spoken by a narrator and accompanied by a chamber ensemble.
Instrumentation:
– Version for trio and narrator: narrator, clarinet, cello, piano
– Version for string quartet and narrator (arr. Eric Jones-Cadieux)
– Suite version for trio (without narrator): clarinet, cello, piano (optional: one of the musician can tell story excerpts between the movements)
– Suite version for string quartet (without narrator) (optional: one of the musician can tell story excerpts between the movements) (arr. Eric Jones-Cadieux)
Duration: 12 minutes
